Stayin' Alive

We survived. Four days without air conditioning in 95 degree weather. Thank goodness our air conditioner will be repaired and running when I get home today. Our house has been about 90 degrees inside. It was so hot last night that Greg, Garrett, and I sat outside until 10:30 soaking up the cool breeze on our deck. Now we don't normally allow Garrett to stay up that late but he couldn't sleep after multiple attempts at putting him to bed probably due to the heat. He enjoyed looking at the stars with us.
I also survived my first week back at Belmont Elementary. We had some tears shed in the mornings before daycare, but both kids have thoroughly enjoyed being back at Lynette's house. By the time I pick them up after work, neither one wants to leave! In fact the first day, I had to chase Avery down and strap her in her carseat, kicking and screaming, because she didn't want to go home! That is a good sign.
