The Sunken Gardens

We love the Sunken Gardens. Every summer we head there to snap some cute pics of the kids when the plants are in full bloom. Garrett & Avery love running along the path and watching the fish in the koi pond. Here are a few of my favorites:

The Sunken Gardens also holds some dear memories too. When Mom was battling cancer, she and Dad visited us. Garrett was 9 months old. We took them to the Sunken Gardens and snapped some pics. Mom, being the great gardener that she was, loved it.

It's a Boy Thing...

Preschool boys are like their own little species. Most of them roll over in giggles at the sound of words such as "poop" and "pee." We've gotten used to this. Garrett's latest little boy fascination is with gas. He will say, "Hey mom, watch this!" and then proceeds to hold up his stuffed animal or lift the dog's tail and make gas sounds. He dies laughing. We just smile.

We Miss Summer

My dear sweet Garrett knows that summertime means staying home and playing with mommy all day. When I woke him up yesterday to get ready for the day, he rolled over, smiled, and asked, "Is it summertime yet?" Unfortunately fall has just begun. I have a feeling this school year will go quickly though.

Growing Up

I can't believe my baby girl is 18 months old this week.
Where does the time go?

This next picture is from 2 months ago (back in the binky days) but I had to include it:

I've taken a bit of a blogging break lately. School and 2 young children are getting the best of me! My goal is to post weekly as things settle into a routine. We'll see what happens.
