First Big Snow

I don't know that you would call 2-3" of snow a big snow, but we sure have been enjoying it. We broke out the sleds, drank hot chocolate, and made snow icecream. As we headed home from the nearby sledding hill yesterday, I mentioned that today would be a school day and that I needed to remember to take Avery's snow pants to Lynette's (daycare). As soon as I said it, I waited for Garrett's response. You could see him slowly start to process the idea that he would be sitting in school and not playing outside. He asked, "Mom, when am I going to get to play in the snow??!!" I assured him that we would make time for that after school. We did.
